At the top left you can see these buttons:

  • New Article. Pressing this button will present the Joomla edition screen to create a new article in the selected source language.
  • Mark Set as Completed. When the status of a Set of Translations is 'Modified' you can manually change the status to 'Complete'. You will probably want to do that when all changes you had made to one or more items on the set had been finished. You can do this one at a time by clicking the Set Status of the desired set, or you can change the status of several items at once by checking their ID's (in the second column) and clicking this button. (Except if the element type is 'Categories'. In this case you are only allowed to make changes one at a time).
  • Refresh Status of All Sets. Some changes in the state of the sets of translations are not updated immediately. To ensure that the state is updated you should press this button in the following cases:
    • - When you add or delete a content language.
    • - When changing the status of a category that has descendants.
    • - At any time when there is some doubt whether the state is updated.

At the top right you can see these buttons:

  • Help. Opens this Help Screen.
  • Language manager Options. Opens the Joomla Language Manager options window.
  • Options. Opens the KMFasTrans Options window. Allows setting of configuration options. To learn more visit

Filters

If you have a large number of items on the list, you can use these filters to find the desired item(s) quickly.

Filter Title, Id or Set

If you type some string diferent from 'id:xxxx' or 'set:xxxx' and pres the magnifying glass, only elements whose title contains the typed string will be listed.

If you type 'id:xxx' where xxx is a number, the element whose id is 'xxx' if any, will be listed.

If you type 'set:xxx' where xxx is a number, all the elements that are assigned to the set of translations whose number is xxx will be listed.

The rest of the filters are drop-down lists that depend on the type of element selected.

Selecting the Source Language

You have to select the source language of the translations in this drop-down list. The language of all items in the list whose id appears in the ID column and whose title appears in the Title column will be the source language.

Selecting Target Languages

In this drop-down list you can select the languages you want to see in the window. The list includes all the existing content languages in the published and unpublished state, except for the source language that you have selected in the source languages drop down.
Each time you add a language, the added language column is displayed without reloading the page (using Ajax processes). When you remove a language, the corresponding column is hidden.
Because adding and removing languages is very fast, you can adapt the languages you are using with total freedom.

Selecting the Element Type

You have to select, in this drop-down list, the type of the elements you want to list.

Selecting source language items

In this drop-down list you can select the elements of the source language that you want to have in the list based on its translation status. The tip obtained when hovering the mouse over the drop-down list provides enough information to make the selection.

Selecting Inconsistent items

If you choose Inconsistencies only, only elements that have an inconsistency will be displayed, both in the source language and in any of the selected target languages.

If you choose Select Trans Incons, all elements will be displayed whether or not they have inconsistencies.

Selecting Status

If you choose Select Element Status, all elements will be displayed regardless of their status. This selection only affects the elements whose ID and title appear in the columns ID and Title. It does not affect the elements that appears in any language columns.
